S’Konnection
The Lille association that opens you up to the world and integrates internationals
S'Konnection is SKEMA's association, created in 2007, which aims to integrate international students into SKEMA's Lille campus and help them discover Lille. At the same time, we aim to promote SKEMA's international dimension and its motto at home worldwide.
Our mission is also to integrate international students socially. We keep them informed about the activities offered by the school's community life and encourage them to take part in events. We also want to introduce them to French culture through the language courses we offer.
The first step in welcoming international students is to get in touch with them by email and then via dedicated WhatsApp groups. They let us know what their needs are so that we can help them even before they settle in. Once they've arrived in Lille, we help them with all their day-to-day needs: doctors, grants, CAF, telephone plans, opening bank accounts and estate agents.
Finally, we introduce Skemiens to foreign cultures through events, including some inter-school events that we organise throughout the year. To do this, we organise events around traditional foreign festivals such as the Skupidon. We also organise day or weekend trips to major European cities.
THE MAIN EVENTS
Skupidon: sale of roses and hand-written words on a stand, as well as a lottery to win prizes.
PAF Full Moon: the international associations of Lille's business schools get together for a Full Moon evening, a not-to-be-missed event in Thailand.
Travels: the aim of this experience is to enable SKEMA students to discover a European city/capital.
