SKEMA Finance

SKEMA Finance Paris is the student finance association of the Paris campus.

SKEMA Finance association was created in November 2011, after the merger of the finance associations of the Lille and Sophia campuses. In 2019, a Paris branch was created and became SKEMA Finance Paris. The association's main missions are to promote the market and corporate finance sectors in the student community, to be the showcase of SKEMA's finance Tracks (FMI master ranked 3rd best in the world by the Financial Times, CFA-AFI and CCA double degrees) and to maintain and enhance the network of SKEMA students and alumni working in finance in order to open up great opportunities for association members.

Main events
The main events are the trading competition and the various events organised with our partners. This year the trading competition was organised on a national scale and we hope to develop further in the following years. Thanks to the different events we have been able to organise so far, we have been able to establish new partnerships, to make the association grow even more.

Event Department
It organises and ensures the smooth running of events with the aim of promoting market and corporate finance to students, as well as setting up new projects.

Research Department
The members of this department are mainly responsible for writing articles on economic and financial news in order to promote finance at SKEMA Business School and to keep students informed of current events. They are also in charge of developing more detailed analyses on relevant topics identified by its members.

Partnerships Department
It is responsible for developing partnerships for the association. It identifies, prospects and analyses potential partners. It is in charge of drawing up, negotiating and implementing partnership agreements, for which it has defined the strategy, terms and objectives. It ensures the extension to the SKEMA Finance branch and their current partners (SoGé, PWC, Dog Finance, AlumnEye, New trading).

Tutoring Department
It is in charge of monitoring and developing the technical skills of all the members of the association and of all SKEMA students in general. Its actions are essentially directed towards achieving one of the main pillars of the association; increasing the quality of the profiles of SKEMA students in favour of the finance professions.

Communications Division
It is in charge of communication within the association, both internally and with external actors. It is the guarantor of the association's public image. It ensures that the actions undertaken by the association are visible to the public.

SKEMA Finance Paris opens its recruitment phases twice a year. A first session is organised at the beginning of the academic year and another at the beginning of the calendar year, depending on the needs of the association and the various events planned. Candidates are subjected to a 30-minute interview, consisting of technical and motivational questions, in order to determine their personality and qualities. the final selection does not rely only on the competence. candidate who can demonstrate dynamism and insighful ideas to further develop the association, would stand out the most.
